Paukenschlag vom Technik-Giganten Apple: Prinz Harry produziert mit Oprah Winfrey eine mehrteilige Doku-Reihe für den angekündigten Streamingdienst Apple TV+.

Grosses Ausrufezeichen von Apple: Der für diesen Herbst angekündigte Streamingdienst Apple TV+ hat sich niemand Geringeren als Prinz Harry (34) geangelt. An der Seite von Talkshow-Ikone Oprah Winfrey (65) wird er als Partner, Mit-Schöpfer und Produzent eine Serie über „psychische Gesundheit“ auf den Weg bringen. Dies wurde auf dem offiziellen Instagram-Account des Prinzen angekündigt. Erst vor wenigen Wochen bestätigte Apple, einen eigenen Streamingdienst zu entwickeln und präsentierte bei der entsprechenden Keynote unter anderem auch Winfrey als Teil des neuen Produkts.

„Ich bin unglaublich stolz“

„Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass eine gute psychische Gesundheit – mentale Fitness – der Schlüssel für eine starke Führung, ein produktives Miteinander und ein zielstrebiges Ich ist“, lässt sich Prinz Harry bezüglich des Projekts zitieren. Es sei eine grosse Verantwortung, er und Winfrey würden das Bewusstsein für ein Thema vermitteln wollen, das „in diesen Zeiten so relevant ist“. Er hoffe, dass sein Werk positiv und aufschlussreich sein wird: „Ich bin unglaublich stolz, mit Oprah an dieser wichtigen Serie mitzuarbeiten.“

Das fertige Produkt soll 2020 bei Apple gezeigt werden. Gemeinsam hätten sie in den letzten Monaten die Doku-Reihe entwickelt. Man freue sich darauf, ein so wichtiges Projekt auf einer „globalen Plattform“ zu präsentieren. Es handle sich um eine mehrteilige Dokumentarfilm-Reihe, die sich nicht nur um psychische Krankheiten drehe, sondern auch auf mentales Wohlbefinden eingehen werde. Man wolle dem Zuschauer Werkzeuge an die Hand geben, wie man erfolgreicher werden könne.

Prinz Harry setzt sich schon seit Jahren gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder Prinz William (36) und dessen Frau, Herzogin Kate (37), im Rahmen ihrer „Heads Together“-Stiftung für psychische Gesundheit ein.
