Mit einem neuen Post bei Instagram sorgen Herzogin Meghan und Prinz Harry für weitere Baby-Freude. Sie beweisen darin, dass sie den Spitznamen der Fans für ihr erstes Kind kennen.

Mit einer einfachen Geste haben Prinz Harry (34) und Herzogin Meghan (37, „Suits“) bei Instagram gezeigt, wie nahe sie am Volk sind. Denn die beiden wissen über den Spitznamen, den die Fans ihrem ersten gemeinsamen Kind schon jetzt gegeben haben, bestens Bescheid. „Im Namen des Dukes und der Duchess of Sussex (und Baby Sussex) danken wir allen so sehr“, heisst es in dem Post.

Die Royals bedanken sich darin für die zahlreiche Spenden, die Fans getätigt hatten. Viele Fans wollten Prinz Harry und Herzogin Meghan gerne etwas zur anstehenden Geburt von „Baby Sussex“ schenken. Das Paar bat schliesslich darum, stattdessen unterschiedliche wohltätige Organisationen zu unterstützen. Nach nur knapp einer Woche kann so unter anderem der Lunchbox Fund nun mehr als 100’000 Mahlzeiten für bedürftige Kinder in Südafrika bereitstellen. Auch Little Village, WellChild und Baby2Baby, konnten sich über zahlreiche Zuwendungen freuen.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support in anticipation of the birth of their first child. „Sie wissen tatsächlich, dass wir ihm/ihr den Spitznamen Baby Sussex gegeben haben. Mein Herz“, schrieb eine Nutzerin bei Twitter und drückte damit wie viele weitere Social-Media-User ihre Freude über die Erwähnung des Kosenamens aus.

Gleichzeitig kamen aber auch wilde Theorien darüber auf, ob das Baby womöglich bereits auf der Welt sei – besonders nachdem der Königshof am Donnerstag mitgeteilt hatte, dass Meghan und Harry die Geburt möglichst privat halten wollen. „Wieso würden Meghan & Harry #babysussex auf diese Weise erwähnen, wenn er/sie nicht schon auf der Welt ist???“, fragte eine Nutzerin bei Twitter.
