Herzogin Meghan schickt schwer krankem Fan eine Sprachnachricht

Beim Besuch einer Schule in Nottingham hat Prinz Harry einem krebskranken Fan seiner Frau eine Sprachnachricht überbracht.

Sie war eine Inspiration für viele junge Frauen, lange bevor sie einen Prinzen geheiratet hat: Jetzt hat Herzogin Meghan (38) einem ihrer treuesten Fans eine Sprachnachricht zukommen lassen – indem sie ihren Ehemann Prinz Harry (35) kurzerhand als Brieftaube rekrutierte. Der britische Royal besuchte die Schule des Mädchens, St Anns in Nottingham, anlässlich des World Mental Health Days am Donnerstag.

Auf dem offiziellen Instagram-Account der Sussex Royals sind Fotos des Besuches zu sehen. Unter anderem kuschelt Prinz Harry darauf mit einem Therapie-Hund, der schüchternen Schülern mehr Selbstvertrauen beim Lesen schenken soll.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, The Duke of Sussex returned to St Ann’s, Nottingham, to reunite with members of two community youth initiatives he’s been supporting for many years – EPIC Partners mentoring at Nottingham Academy and Community Recording Studio (CRS). At Nottingham Academy, HRH spoke with several of the youth he’s met on previous visits who are now mentoring younger students to ensure they’re managing their mental health both at school and at home. The Duke took part in the school assembly, where they talked about managing stress at every level and he shared his own thoughts on the importance of good mental health. There was also a fun visit with a therapy dog who supports students who feel reluctant to read, and allows them to garner more self confidence. The visit ended at the Community Recording Studio (CRS) in St Ann’s, a youth organisation that teaches video and music skills, allowing a creative outlet for self expression. The members recently created a Hip Hopera titled ‘Mental’ – a musical that explores mental illness through drama, spoken word and song. Overall a very special day celebrating community and seeing how we can all play a part in supporting each other’s wellbeing and mental health. #WMHD Photo©️PA Images

Kuscheltier für Archie

Zudem bat der Prinz um ein Treffen mit Schülerin Aleyna Genc, um ihr die Botschaft seiner Frau vorzuspielen. Herzogin Meghan hatte diese extra auf Harrys Handy aufgenommen, da sie selbst nicht an dem Termin teilnehmen konnte.

Bereits vor zwei Jahren hatte die 14-Jährige der Herzogin einen Brief geschrieben, nachdem sie eine Rede Meghans gesehen hatte. „Ihre UN-Rede über Frauenrechte hat mich sehr inspiriert“, erklärte die Schülerin der „Sun„. Seither hätten sie und Meghan immer wieder Briefe ausgetauscht.

Genc, die an einem Gehirntumor leidet, gab Prinz Harry schliesslich noch ein Geschenk für dessen Sohn Archie mit: einen kleinen Stoffhund.
